The purchase of used baby equipment is risky even if it's been used for a short period of time. Secondhand items are not required to be registered with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, pushchairs and strollers unlike new goods. There's no way to determine the reason for recalls. Recalls can occur for many reasons, including mistakes in design or a failure by a manufacturer to conform to the federal standards. You can register a stroller and receive notifications of recalls.

This rule implements a standard that is required for travel Pushchair strollers and pushchair Easy Fold other carriages in accordance with Section 104 of the Danny Keysar Act on Child Product Safety Notifications as amended by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008(CPSIA). It incorporates by reference to the most current voluntary standard created by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), ASTM F833-13b. It establishes standards and test methods that reduce the risks posed by these products. CPSC staff worked closely with ASTM participants in the development of this rule.
