If you're on a budget and need a robotic vacuum to clean your hard floors the Eufy RoboVac 11S is a great choice. It's among the least expensive robot vacuums on the market, undercutting even older Eufy models and some machines from lesser-known brands. The 11S is compact and attractive, it's easy to use and has a good dust compartment.

It shares the same basic shape as the eufy 30C that we reviewed last year, but it's slimmer and has slightly higher suction power (2 kPa against 1.7). The 11S doesn't have a robot mop built in or advanced navigation features like the more expensive Roomba models. Instead, it uses the remote control and smartphone app that lets you control it by hand and set a daily cleaning schedule.

You can set the 11S to sweep your entire home or specific rooms. The 11S also has an option for spot-cleaning that lets you choose an area to vacuum for two minutes. Edge cleaning is an important feature that allows you to concentrate on the edges of your space.

The 11S is easy to maintain. It has a large dirt storage container that doesn't have to be regularly emptied, and its battery life is great. It is however prone to fall off its charging dock when it's full, so it is recommended to connect the wires to the dock using zip tie. The lack of a 'dust box full' indicator means you'll need to check the dust bin on a regular basis but it shouldn't take long.

The 11S is more durable and has lower recurring costs and a bigger dirt compartment, and can remove more dirt, from low-pile carpet to floors that are bare. It's also more easy to maintain and offers better performance overall, especially on carpets. Its BoostIQ function automatically switches between Standard and Max power settings based on the surface you're cleaning. Anti-collision sensors stop the 11S from bumping into furniture, and it can automatically return to its base when the battery is depleted. In our tests, it took around an hour to fully charge, and it has a long time of operation.

Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot

iRobot's j7 series is the company's smartest robot vacuum and mop pet hair vacuum and mop combo. It utilizes PrecisionVision navigation to detect obstacles and move around them, eliminating blind spots in which other robotic vacuums may become stuck. It also gathers information about your home, and utilizes this information to improve the cleaning efficiency over time. It can be controlled using the iRobot app and is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, making it easy to use with voice commands.

We tested the j7+ Combo through its paces on our obstacle course and discovered that it was one of the best robot vacuum for hair robotic cleaners that can be used on floor surfaces with low piles and no flooring. The app is intuitive and easy to use, however, it isn't equipped with the advanced features that are found in its competitors. While the X2 can clean in a grid however, our tests revealed that it cleaned in a more chaotic way and sometimes missed a dust pile or dirt that was right in our path.

The X2 is simple to keep up with, returning to its base to empty the dust bin into a reusable dust bag and to automatically wash and dry its mop pad in the docking station. It's also capable of being able to recognize its charging station and going back to it to charge, allowing you to keep your home with clean power for a period of weeks. The only issue is its size which makes it difficult to find an area to charge.
