World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item level upgrade it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

In the final game you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item the original item is replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item upgrader kit returning to its original condition which means that the player has to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned like chances to be crit damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item upgrades. For example an item upgrades of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will need to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
