Three Wheeled Buggies

It handled cobbles, grass and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath said it felt solid to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres, which are inflatable and require to be pumped regularly, have built-in suspension. It was extremely comfortable for my children.

The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to think about. The seat should be big enough for your child to feel comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies will have the option of reclining completely, while others allow an adult facing one.

Many three wheeled buggies feature the front wheels that swivel to help you navigate around corners with ease, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability with which they can be driven. This is also helpful if you bump into a tree root or stray kerb as the front wheel will lift up a bit to prevent you from hitting it.

Many 3 wheeler stroller wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres, which allows them to handle a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They also tend to be lighter. They are also more susceptible to punctures, so you'll need to have repair kits and an spare inner tube in your arsenal.

The downside of having larger wheels is that they can make buggies quite large and make it difficult to get through narrow spaces. This can be an issue especially if you're using it to a jogger or you need to be able to get through doors that are narrow when out and about. Most models come with small folding options that allow you to remove the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.

Easy to manoeuvre

One of the main benefits to a three wheel buggy is that it can be much easier to maneuver, especially with a child on the way. The way in which they are built means that the front wheels rotate at a whim and are incredibly maneuverable, making them ideal for difficult terrains like cobbles, parks or bumpy pavements, as well as dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried an all-wheeler with her toddler. she said: "The Terrain is a delight to navigate in rough terrain. The front swivel wheel was especially helpful." I was also impressed by how well it coped with the kerbs, particularly when using the brake operated by hand. It was extremely stable when for descending or on a rough terrain."

The only drawback to this amazing maneuverability is that the three wheel buggy's larger wheels do sometimes mean it has to be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to keep in mind if you live in a urban region. If this is a concern, a 4-wheel buggy might be a better option for you.
