WoW Item Upgrades

Item upgrades, also referred as "upping", are enchantments or items that can be used to improve the performance of weapons and armor. These upgrade items increase the gauge of an item upgrader kit by a specific number of points. Their cost increases with their rarity.

The melee PvP scene highly values a perfectly rolled version of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.

Type-restricted upgrades

Upgrades are a vital element of the crafting process. They can enhance an item's stats, make it stronger or weaker and even give it a bonus effect. They can also change the appearance of an item. While certain upgrades are universal, others have special rules for applying to armor or weapons. A bad upgrade can destroy an item upgrader that is otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.

As a rule you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the level of its highest-level counterpart. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent of the sword. This does not increase the weapon's output of damage and can reduce its trade value.

To upgrade an item you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount of each is contingent on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for example will cost more flightstones than upgrading an Cloak. You may also get discounts on the number of flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.

Upgrading an item fills up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the item's Tier by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. It may take different upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any procedure that could mount a disk must not be running during an upgrade. You must also make sure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an system drive.

Enchantment is a feature that lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add gem or rune slot to the equipment. However, it does change its dimensions. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. For instance the size of an armored Stormtrooper armor is Medium, and the Blaster Pistol Small.

Universal upgrades

Universal upgrades are upgrades which can be applied to any kind of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. Upgrade components can be obtained from Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and can also be combined with Power-Ups. They can also be branching or linear.

The Universal Upgrade begins when "internal technologies" can give sentient animals new abilities that they are unlikely to acquire naturally. Examples of internal technology include implants or prostheses. This kind of improvement is not the same as medical internal technology, which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. Instead, it is the beginning of an upgrade process that transforms civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade is a complex procedure that can take a long time to complete. However the process is divided into two different classes: full success and partial failure.

This is similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons such as overbooking or room availability. In the case Universal, it could be to move guests to a different resort that is open. This is not meant to be a mean-spirited thing, but it can be inevitable in the current climate.

Jewels

Jewels can also been made at a table for jewelry using 1 gem and 5 of the same ingredients to create a jewel that is of a lower or higher level; this procedure is the same as upgrading a gemstone with the use of a gemcrafting table.

Jewel tiers are based on the amount of modifiers they have, with higher-tier jewels having more modifiers than those of lower tier. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier, whereas the secondary effect is random. Players can use luck potions in order to increase their chances of receiving more beneficial secondary effects.

Like other upgrade components jewels can be inserted into an item with an appropriate socket to increase the item's. For example, a Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, but the Garnet Pebble only increases regular hits, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strength. Jewels can be placed in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They can also be used with some exotic trinkets, or lesser rarity trinkets that need the use of a slot.

As with other DM mechanics, gems aid to keep items feeling special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade paths jewels let players alter their equipment to find the Best item upgrade combination for their needs. They can upgrade their equipment with new gems in the event that they feel that the initial set is no longer appropriate.

Requirements

WoW's item upgrade system allows players to increase the levels of their weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current item level from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. The user will have to take the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item.
