The bumper bar doubles up as a carry handle, and there's a large, flip-flop friendly brake with a colour indicator. The basket is smaller than other models, but it will still accommodate a huge changing bag. There are additional tray for storing snacks, drinks and toys.

It's suitable from birth and can be paired with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot or car seat with adaptors (sold separately). For older children there's a clever backrest that nearly flattens, making it ideal for nap times or extended walks and the smart 5-point harness with magnets is simple to use. It's also light at 6.6kg and comes with an extra bag for travel.

The British brand Joie is on a mission to "share happiness with parents who are expecting" by creating pushchairs which are "functional, stylish and innovative". The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is the brand's most recent offering. It is designed to hold two children at a time unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin. It also has stadium-style seating that lets both children experience the world at once.

At just over 10kg at just over 10kg, the Evalite Duo is one of the lightest strollers for siblings on the market. It's suitable from birth and is compatible with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It's simple to drive, ride, lift and fold, and the clever frame expands widthways to accommodate the second seat.

Out 'n' About say the one-handed fold is the highlight of the Evalite Duo, and they were awed by how quickly and easily it can be put together. They did notice that it was more difficult to navigate rough surfaces and bumps as compared to other models.

The front seat does not fully recline, and parents were forced to use their hands to lower it. This is something they'd prefer to avoid when traveling with young children. The Evalite Duo, however, is a fantastic stroller that could be improved upon with a few adjustments. They also love that it's so small and compact when folded!

iCandy Peach

iCandy Peach is a highly-sophisticated tandem buggy that offers parents all the options they require. It is compatible with many car seats, and folds easily with a single click. It also comes with plenty of accessories that other brands will charge separately like rain covers and liners.

Founded by an Australian, Mountain Buggy (part of the Mokopuna group, which also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger) is the first brand of prams to focus on all-terrain double pushchairs. The Duet twin stroller is easily maneuvered around narrow aisles for shopping and through doors. It is one of the smallest, most feature-packed double strollers buggies available and has been awarded numerous awards including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and the 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.

The narrow seats are large enough for children of varying age groups to be able to sit comfortably, and the seats are reclineable, so children can pick their preferred position. The large canopies come with the ability to flip out sun visors, and the storage basket is very roomy. It works with most brands and comes with two infant car seat adapters with the purchase of car seats.

The only downside is the weight. At 32.4 lbs, it is heavy to lift in and out of the trunk and could be difficult for Grandma to manage. It is priced higher than other double side-by-side buggies. It is built to last and it offers many advantages for the money. It is a good choice for parents in urban areas who want to avoid lugging a heavy stroller around. The padding of the harnesses, the 5-point buckle and straps with padding ensure that it is safe for infants.

Bugaboo Donkey twin

The Bugaboo Donkey Twin has a stylish and practical design. It's a high-quality product but it's not without its flaws.

It's got only a handful of extra features for the kids and the parents. The only thing offered by the small side bin is that it can only be used only when one car seat is connected. There aren't any parent trays, cup holders or accessory pockets, and this could be problematic for long journeys.

The seats aren't able to recline to a very flat position, and the gap between them is quite large and our 5-year-old had trouble lying back comfortably. It's unfortunate considering that this is a luxury vehicle.

It's simple to maneuver and the swivel-wheel is great for climbing stairs and slopes. It's also slim enough to fit in most doorways and folds up easily for storage and transportation. Additionally, it can be converted back to mono mode with just three clicks if require more space or a quick getaway. It can even accommodate a third child with the comfort wheeled board if you need to. It's pricey, however when you're on a tight budget, there are other options available there. It's worth it if you're a fan of the brand and have money to spend.
