World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is used (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what can be improved upon an update.

If a boost upgrade item is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader will have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item level upgrade is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
