Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked an reversion to the classic sextet format of previous albums and was a more ferocious, consistent effort with an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. Bobby Kimball's growing virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records.
