3 Wheeler Buggies

Fabric slings are set in the frame and not on top of the frame like modular seats. This model has a lower centre-of-gravity, which is the right height. It is simpler to push and lighter to kerb-pop (you can't underestimate the number of times you will do that as a brand new parent!).

Seating

The capacity for seating of lightweight 3 wheel buggy wheelers is quite impressive and there are a variety of different options to choose from. The included carrycot plus is ideal for a newborn (which MFM reviewer Alice describes as a comfy and cozy lay-flat bed that can be used in and out of the buggy). Older children and toddlers will appreciate the spacious and comfortable seat with adjustable ventilation. The seats do not recline fully, but they can be adjusted to the lowest point. This should still allow your child plenty of room and headroom.

A fabric sling is also available. It's a benefit that it is positioned inside the frame instead of on top as a seat that is modular. This creates a lower center of gravity, with a perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier to push, especially over bumpy terrain and curbs. MFM reviewer Kath liked the way this style of seat dealt with the obstacles.

The pushchair 3 wheels-wheeled frame makes a buggy more stable and stable to push with one hand, and it's also great for handling difficult terrain. However, it does mean that the shopping basket can't hold as much as a 4-wheeler buggy.

Tyres

Air filled tyres have been designed to provide your child with a more comfortable ride by cushioning out bumps and uneven surfaces. She also noted that the grippy tyres of the Phil and Ted's Sport made it easier for her to navigate the kerbs and other obstacles.

These tyres can sometimes prove tricky to keep inflated and will need to be topped up frequently. These tyres are more susceptible to punctures, and you should always carry a repair kit and spare inner tube when you're out and out and about.

PU tyres can be seen on a lot more pushchairs than air-filled tyres, but they're just as durable. PU tire are easily identifiable by their matte finish and supple feel. They also slide across flat and tidied surfaces.

If you run your hand over the tyres you can tell if they are PU or rubber. If it feels as if it is sliding then it's a rubber or PU. You can also confirm whether your buggy has PU tyres by slipping the tyres on an even, clean surface They'll roll easily and should fit comfortably in their wheel hubs.

Foam tyres are able to withstand the rough terrain that comes with high-performance buggies. The drawback is that the foam could expand and cause your buggy to feel less stable, because it loses its springy feel. The tyres can also be noisy due to the fact that they create a lot noise when you turn or drive around the town.
